HavaBet is driven by Greg Cook and his wife, long-time participants in the Australian racing industry. Greg has been a feature on Sydney racetracks since the early 1980s and was even responsible for writing software that many on-course bookmakers still use today to display prices, issue tickets, and manage their books.

 

His wife was the main operator for long-standing rails bookmaker Con Kafataris, before later joining Greg in running their own on-course business. Now, they’ve teamed up again to bring that same experience and approach into the online space.

 

Greg himself spent time as a rails bookmaker — and back in those days, he wasn’t afraid to take a bet. These days, he’s a bit more measured, but if you’re a genuine punter having a crack, you’ll be looked after.
